AIM Control (AIM Group®)  full condition inspection survey for ship is to main items of full seaworthiness and safety condition for navigation and identifying the risks may be arisen to recommend.

For Buyer and Brokers, AIM Control (AIM Group®)  marine surveyors conduct the full ship condition survey to the entire items of her structure, machineries, equipment, certificates, defects, are namely Pre-purchase ship condition inspection.

For others, we conduct the survey of full ship condition  based on client's requirement in details,

Purpose of Full condition inspection survey for ship and vessel

  • Purpose of AIM Control (AIM Group®)  Full Condition Survey/ Inspection is to identify the ship/vessel is suitable for entry her P&I Club or re-entry.
  • As part of AIM Control (AIM Group®)  Full Condition Survey/ Inspection is also recommend the Membership continued efforts to maintain and improve their ships’ standards, condition and technical defects.
  • The root role of AIM Control (AIM Group®)  full condition survey is to identify her deficiencies with a list of items in need of rectification. The Full condition survey report will send to the her Club.
  • The full condition survey is to a vessel’s condition was pursuant the agreed terms and conditions of the insurance policy.
  • The full condition survey is also to her to ensure compliance with safety, fitness, seaworthiness and the standards, continue to meet the rules.

Time of Full condition survey of ship

AIM Control (AIM Group®)  condition survey will be conducted to a vessels already entered with her Club may be surveyed at any time, particularly in the event of claims caused by technical defects by a casualty, detention or other incident/ accident.

It is important to note the full condition surveys are carried out by AIM Control (AIM Group®)  independent surveyors under daytime (without nigh time).

Time of a follow-up survey

After finding Critical Deficiencies of ship’s condition, If repairs are necessary, a follow-up survey may be required once her deficiencies have been completed.

General Full Condition Survey Items:

  • Water tightness of hatch covers by means of ultrasonic test (hose testing not allowed and only to be done if no ultrasonic test equipment is available to AIM Control’s surveyors)
  • Internal visual inspection of ballast tanks
  • Pressure test of ballast tanks
  • Cargo hold bilge suction test
  • Test of emergency fire pump, emergency generator and emergency steering
  • AIM Control (AIM Group®)  Full condition surveyors will also be reviewing the latest Class status report and the ultrasonic steel thinness testing certificate issued to ship by third party
  • AIM Control (AIM Group®)  full ship condition surveyor will issue Full ship condition report
  • The risk assessment (based on a review of all sections NOT ONLY on the deficiencies mentioned but also will include non-accomplished items)
  • During the full ship condition survey, the defect list will be issued by AIM Control (AIM Group®)  surveyor to submit Master’s signature and stamp to be acknowledged
  • AIM Control’s ship’s condition surveyor will issue the full condition inspection report consisted of any defects without delay and our surveyor will Not to WAIT for any repairs to be completed
  • AIM Control (AIM Group®)  Full Vessel’s Condition Survey Report will be issued to send P&I Club only (without for Master, Ship-owner or other)
  • The defects found by AIM Control (AIM Group®)  Surveyor during the full condition survey and his clear explanation regarding to the consequences of each defect.
