What does an offshore diver do?

The work in this area of the industry includes maintenance of oil platforms and the building of underwater structures. In this context "offshore" implies that the diving work is done outside of national boundaries.

How deep do offshore divers go?

These professionals often work at staggering depths, sometimes reaching up to 1,000 feet. To safely decompress from such depths using traditional techniques would take days. Instead, saturation divers are transported to the ocean's surface in pressurized diving bells.

ROVs are unmanned Equipment submersibles controlled remotely from the surface, equipped with cameras, sensors, and manipulators to perform a wide range of functions at various depths. Companies may be specialised in manufacturing specific sensors or cameras, or supplying entire ROVs.
