In trade, before / during and after buying of one of goods, the purchasers need to know some services of cargo inspection type for products in importing and exporting.

The seven of cargo inspection types for product at country of exporter

  1. A audit of supplier/ factory proficiency: to verify the ability of supplier and capacity of manufactory regarding to product bought. (prevention deceit, fraud, lack the ability to produce and/or supply). There are also others as  Corporation Social Audit,  Sourcing Standards & Resources – Walmart, etc.
  2. A pre-production inspection: this is initial inspection for raw materials. (prevention poor quality of raw materials, no suitable for outsourcing)
  3. A during production inspection: this is called DUPRO to monitor all of actions of manufactory on all of semi-products and parts of accessories (prevents defects from appearing).
  4. A final random inspection: this is pre-shipment inspection to control one hundred per cent of shipment quantity fabricated with at time of least eighty per cent of cargo packaged (according to quantity in Purchase Order). Following of client’s requirement to inspect on what AQL (random) or all of products before acceptance for loading. (prevents shipment of defective batches)
  5. Supervision of cargo loading: monitoring of loading operation on conditions of product & containers (or means of transportation). stuffing, stowage, lashing and securing.
  6. Cargo Tally of quantity: verification and counting of product quantity and/or packages of cartons, boxes, bags, barrels (weight). . .  during loading operation and before sealing. (prevent shortage of quantity and weight)
  7. Load and Stow Survey: Conducted to ensure that cargo is properly packed in a container, ship’s holds to prevent damage (lashing and securing of cargo & risk assessment) to either the contents or the Carrier, Insurers during loading operation.

The seven of cargo inspection types for product at country of importer

  1. Discharging supervision: it is consisted of unloading supervision on conditions of product & containers (or means of transportation) and cargo tallying of quantity after un-sealing.
  2. Loss and damage prevention: it is consisted of control all of actions at discharging ports or local of cargo received aiming prevention of loss and damage for cargo.
  3. Loss and/or damage inspection (survey): a cargo damage survey is investigated and determined on the cause of damage (or loss) for cargo as well estimate extent of damage. AIM Control’s damage cargo surveyor is also required to determine if the damaged goods or container can be salvaged, and to make arrangements for salvage.
  4. Cargo Inspection and Classification of the quantity of commodities in sound, weight of cargo in torn, cargo in sweeping. Calculation of the percentage reduction of commercial value & re-packaged.
  5. Tally and surveyor’s calculations on the amount shortage of goods (vs. B/L), the extent of damage to the goods, causes of damage / loss and and value of goods sold rescue (the salvage value)
  6. Damage survey to recognize the responsibility, liability on indemnity and compensation belongs to who.
  7. Claim and Dispute inspections (surveys): the dispute inspection is to against the other concerned parties on rights about defects and others regarding to cargo and product are not suitable as requirement.
