Inspection of imported and exported goods for the purpose of determining the quantity and quality of imported and exported goods, verifying the origin and condition of the goods as well as the actual condition of shipment meets the provisions of the law, the contract of sale, the contract of insurance, the contract of carriage and other regulations.

Roles of AIM Control’s freight cargo & shipping controller are:

  • Ensures reliability on the goods & commodity, loading and discharging of ship & vessel, cargo & container data, integrity and accuracy;
  • Has responsibility for resolving customer concerns quickly and efficiently by liaising with Operations, Planning and Commercial departments
  • Establishes proactive communication to enable understanding, quality, service issues, while developing and maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Executes the vessel validation for discharge and load operations
  • Updates shift on planned items: Discharge and Load Validation
  • Participates in shift handovers
  • Arrives on time and executes work according to plan
  • Advises for support material to be in place prior to shortage or system failure: TOS, printer, vehicles, stationary, etc.
  • Communicates with vessel planners to validate vessels changes during the operation.
  • Ensures that recognized safe working practices are executed for all related processes and maintains effective implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and ensures waste disposal is performed as per company procedures.
  • Receive and verify original documents provided by the customer and input of the details in CFS system, generates log sheets for operations
  • Planning & monitoring jobs as per Vessel & Container schedule & cut off time
  • Communicating with Vessel Agent & customers for survey & Inspection
  • Empty & Full container planning & nomination, coordinating & planning job with operation Supervisor & co-workers
  • Liaise with Departments (T1, T2 & Commercial Trucking) for daily operational requirements.
  • Prepare Tally Sheets upon job completion & forward details to CFS Billing Section
  • Plan move & update container in CTMS as per vessel details, generate vessel wise list of LCL containers to be de-stuffed in CFS
  • Preparing un-stuffing tally in system, enter location details of un-stuffed cargo which will be facilitate the delivery process
  • Ensure cargo deviations, short or excess if any, record the same in system
  • Prepare auction cargo list
  • Check B/E, D.O and payment receipt & generate pick plan for delivery of LCL cargo
  • Receive export cargo and Vehicles as per export declaration,
  • Verify payment and complying with other custom formalities before stuffing
  • Verifying & checking B/E and D.O validity & payment prior to handle the document to operation supervisor for FCL delivery
  • Coordinate with custom department and customers and arrange for Custom inspection at CFS after ensuring the payment in either way (cash or credit)
  • Maintain container and cargo records & filling system for reference and documentation
