Inspection of cargo is to survey to goods cargo at manufactory, in shipping and at port of destination in safety and claim liability of cargo when risked.
Inspection of marine is to survey for boats, ships or water transported vessels for new ship building at shipyard, safety, seaworthiness, navigation, pre purchase, condition, on-hire/ off-hire, bunker survey, draft survey, P&I surveys & Correspondents, collision, accident, H&M, damage/loss, grounded/sunk, adjusting, loss prevention, diving survey in water, etc.
Inspection of commodity is to examine the products on weight, quality, packing, marking, function, component, size, operation . . .based on specification of commodity at vendors, supplier's premises as sampling, pre-production control, production monitoring, final inspecting, pre-shipment inspect, container loading supervision, tally, sealing. . .
Supervision, sampling, weighing & tally are where goods are traded, stored, handled and transported there is a normally a contractual requirement to establish the weight quantity and condition of goods and to monitor and independently oversee loading and discharging operations. The role of cargo superintendents, surveyors is to observe and report the facts, to undertake checks, to draw samples and to arrange analysis and finally to issue written reports and certificates.
Auditing is to identify and assess the suppliers are suitable for production, sub-supplying . . . for supermarkets, buyers.
Fabrication expediting is to control the project at vendor via ITP & FAT.
